My 10 Favorite Elephant Kashimashi Songs

My 10 Favorite Elephant Kashimashi Songs

Finally doing another post in over a month!  Haven’t made many posts lately because not much has been going on lately.  Though a little update is that I’ve basically moved from X to Bluesky because X has recently made it so that all images you post will be used for AI training and you can’t opt out.  Here’s my bluesky account.

Alright, onto the main post now.  So I’ve been listening to a crap ton of Elephant Kashimashi songs lately, and figured this was a chance to make a post, so here’s my 10 favorite Elephant Kashimashi songs!  Btw take the order of them with a grain of salt bc it’s hard to actually rank them.

1. Koyoi No Tsuki No Youni

This is easily my favorite Elephant Kashimashi song.  For starters, this was the first Elephant Kashimashi song I ever heard.  I was introduced to them by the channel Shuka on Youtube in this video below.

So yeah, that’s one reason that I love this song.  Another reason is that I actually learned how to play it myself on guitar, and look at all these chords!  Like this isn’t your average 3 or 4 chord song, that’s a lot of chords, and imo, more chords = more fun!  Also the lyrics are super fun to sing, though I suck at singing lmao.

2. Kaze ni Fukarete (New Recording Version)

The original Kaze ni Fukarete isn’t bad either but I like this version a lot better.  This version really shows off Hiroji Miyamoto’s amazing singing.  This was also the 2nd Elephant Kashimashi song I heard when the channel owner of Shuka, which was mentioned earlier, recommended this video to me.

But yeah, Miyamoto’s singing here really is incredible, such an eargasm to listen to.

3. Easy Go

I’m not generally the biggest fan of hard rock but I do really like some hard rock songs.  This is one of them.  The melody is really so good and this really shows Miyamoto’s versatility when it comes to singing.  When he’s singing “So let’s go, eeeeasy, eeeeeeasy” in the chorus and sings the higher note on the 2nd easy my ears just go, “yes”.  Elephant Kashimashi really makes this hard rock sound like legit music rather than just a bunch of loud noises imo.  It’s similar to how I generally dislike metal music but Inkya Impulse from Asobi Asobase I really like.

4. Zureteruhougaii

This song actually gives me some nostalgia because its style is really similar to some of the western rock songs my dad listens to.  I’ve always kinda liked rock music since I grew up hearing my dad listening to it on the radio in the car and stuff.  I never really got too into western rock music though, ofc I know many of the big names like Queen, Bon Jovi, Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones, ect ect and I have played several rock band and guitar hero games on my wii, but I never really went down the rabbit hole or anything.  I do however remember the overall sound of the songs I used to hear on the car radio and this song definitely reminds me of them.  The guitar parts and melody are the main things.  Ofc zureteruhougaii itself is a really good song on its own too and I really enjoy listening to it.

5. Kazeto Tomoni

One of the things that Elephant Kashimashi is really good at is melodies, and I think that can go for Japanese music in general.  I feel like Japanese bands put a little more poetry and stuff into their lyrics and makes their melodies at a little more interesting and less repetitive than many western bands.  Ofc bands like Queen is an exception, but yeah, I really like the melody in this song a lot.  It has a softer feel to it than the hard rock songs like Easy Go.

6. Sakurano Hana, Maiagaru Michio

Japan really likes their sakura lmao.  There’s a million songs with sakura in the name, a ton of people named sakura, foods that have sakura in it, ect ect, and ngl, I kinda really like sakura too lmao.  Listening to this song in the spring walking past my neighbor’s sakura tree will be epic.  I can image in the clear spring day, not too hot, a nice breeze, the pink sakura petals blowing by in the breeze, and me sneezing at the pollen lmao.  I generally don’t like spring because I don’t like the heat, the rain, and the pollen, but sakuras are one of the things about spring that’s really nice.

7. Oretachino Ashita

This music video reminds me of those Beatles songs that were also filmed on a roof lmao.  One of the rock band games we have is the Beatles rockband game, which is probably my favorite of the bunch.  This MV also really screams the 2000s which has some nice nostalgia.  Anyway, this song has a really nice vibe to it and not to be repetitive, but the lyrics really is so nice.  The “Saa, ganbarouze” Miyamoto sings just feels so nice and I find myself singing just those words sometimes because its fun lmao.

8. Anata E

This is a really good love song that gives the feeling of sadness and longing for the person he loves.  Once again, Miyamoto’s singing is so good, you can really feel the emotions of the lyrics in just his singing without having to understand the meaning of the lyrics.

9. RAINBOW

This is another nice hard rock song.  This song has a lot of energy, and I think this is probably the Elephant Kashimashi song that sounds the most like it could be an anime OP or something lmao.  Also I want to point out how skinny Miyamoto looks in this and the crazy power stance the guitarist has lmao.

10. Tatakau Otoko

Last but definitely not least (maybe I’ll make another post with more songs in the future), Tatakau Otoko.  This is a very energetic song that like the music video, is a song that makes you want to just run through a city.  Someone should make an edit where they put this music over the scene in A Place Further Than the Universe where the girls are just running through the city, that would be cool.

Well, these are 10 of my favorite Elephant Kashimashi songs, though it’s kinda hard to really say for sure that this is the exact order past the first 2.  Maybe I should make a tier list instead, that’d probably be better.  But yeah, I may or may not make another post about Elephant Kashimashi songs in the future, don’t quote me on that.

This was a nice way to keep myself occupied as I hide from the family during thanksgiving lmao.  Happy thanksgiving to all the Americans btw!  Alright, bye for now
