Not much going on right now so haven’t made a post in a couple weeks.  Figured I should just write some type of little update, so yeah.

I’m still working on frames for Hinagiku in ep 4.  I’m at around 5,000 frames and still have a long way to go, so gonna be a while before a new post for that.

If you’ve seen my youtube channel, I’ve been slowly posting some covers of Super Mario Galaxy osts here and there, and a couple days ago I posted the latest one.  I also decided to do a 2nd video where I play all the osts up to The Star Festival (the most recent one I covered) to get a better take of each song since all my covers kinda suck.  Honestly though, the covers weren’t much better because I was just playing through each piece back to back without any editing and stuff, and I did so many takes my arms got tired and stuff.  Also the fact that I recorded The Star Festival the same day.  But whatever, decent enough

Also btw, decided to pull out the Wii, Wii remote, and the game itself for these videos to make it a little more interesting.  I had plushies on the piano previously bc it’s easier than pulling out the whole console and stuff, but whatever.  Also, I decided to start up a new save file on Super Mario Galaxy and I’m going to play through it as I cover each song.  It’s gonna take a while because I don’t really rush getting covers out, but it’ll be fun I guess.

Now the big thing that just happened and is the thing in the title, is I just got my copy of the Hayate no Gotoku Complete Edition Vol. 16.  Man, I’ve been so excited for it to arrive, and here it is.

I haven’t bought the first 15 volumes yet but I do plan to eventually, as well as all the future volumes, but I decided to buy this volume right now because I wanted to get the Hinagiku art before they ran out of it.  No horni though, I just wanted to have some nice exclusive Hinagiku art, I swear.  Though Hata-sensei is such a good artist.

There really is a struggle with buying this type of anime merch when you’re in America because a lot of Japanese stores don’t ship to America, they only ship to places in Japan.  Gamers, which is the store that had the exclusive art, only shipped to Japan, so I had to use a proxy to get it to America.  I used the cheapest proxy I could find that was trustworthy, but even then, shipping from Japan to America is just generally expensive.  Japanese companies should really let overseas fans get better access to this stuff so they can make more profit, because having to use a proxy can definitely put a lot of fans off due to the extra expenses.

Either way though, I’m chill with paying a little extra for a proxy for Hinagiku stuff (though my bank account isn’t as happy).

Also I do actually own all 52 volumes of the Hayate manga in Japanese, the first 10 volumes of the manga in english, and a 2nd copy of volume 4 (bc the used copy I got originally was in bad shape), but I want to buy all the complete edition mangas to further support Hata-sensei.  Now I have volumes 31 and 32 in Japanese twice!  Can never have too much Hata-sensei.

And while I’m on the topic of Hata-sensei, I managed to get a lucky deal to buy Hata-sensei’s Ad Astra Per Aspera in Japanese on ebay.  The seller dropped the price to just $7.00 usd, what a fricking steal.  Like I can’t believe I managed to get it for that cheap.  It’ll be arrive in the next few days, I’m really excited to get it.
