Summer is now here and the heatwave is killing me.  Why does summer have to be so hot, I hate it.  But more importantly, spring 2025 is coming to an end and summer 2025 is starting soon, so I shall talk about that.

Spring 2025

These were the anime I ended up watching as they aired this season, but I have several others on my planning.

Aharen s2 was great as expected, more great romance, comedy, and wholesomeness.  Not much more to say about that.  Kowloon Generic Romance was pretty alright, visually looked really good, great vibes, though the story wasn’t totally my thing tbh.  Takamine-san was actually a pretty good ecchi anime, well done in that regard, and some decently good romance in there too.

For GQuuuuuuX I have a bit more to say.  To say it flat out, I was a tiny bit disappointed since it didn’t meet my expectations.  It started out great, insanely good visuals, great op and ed by kenshi yonezu and suisei, story written by Hideaki Anno, several other people in the Eva crew working on it, ect.  But the story was actually pretty mid.  One of the big problem I think I have with it, is that you just can’t really make a good gundam story in 12 episodes.  In order to get a good gundam story, you need to be able to really go deep and get people invested in that story, and that’s hard to do with just 12 episodes, plus the fact that they didn’t start getting serious until half way through.  The mecha designs were overall pretty mid, I liked the char gundam, but other than that, just mid imo.  Unfortunately due to the story being meh, this is lower on my gundam list, and especially after witch from mercury which raised the bar, this just wasn’t it.  Also Machu and Nyaa fighting over Shuji seemed pretty pointless imo and got kind of annoying.  I’d give it like a 7.5/10, pretty decent compared to most anime, but on the lower end of gundam anime.

Summer 2025

This looks like it’s gonne be a much better season than spring.  We’re getting some much awaited season 2s, namely grand blue s2, my dress-up darling s2, a couple of cuckoos s2, and there’s also isekai vending machine s2 lmao.  We’re also getting city the animation by the mangaka of nichijou which is exciting.

I’m also planning on checking out Secrets of the Silent Witch which looks like it’ll be a really nice true fantasy.  It’s definitely great seeing more true fantasy anime being released rather than isekai in recent years since frieren released.  And I also got With You and the Rain on my list which seems like it’ll be a cute, relaxing comedy sol.

So these are all the anime I’m currently planning to watch for summer 2025:

There are some others I’m considering to add like Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku, but we’ll see.  Most likely I’ll probably add more onto my plan to watch list when gigguk does his summer 2025 anime stream to watch all the trailers and stuff lmao.

Other stuff

Just to point out some other stuff too, Tonikawa manga is finally back!!!!  Hata-sensei’s back to cooking and I’m excited to continue this Hokkaido arc!  Also I finished Haruhi which I enjoyed a lot, might make a post about that eventually.  Hina frames are also still going, so no worries there.  And yeah, that’s about it for this post, bye
