Hinagiku Ep 4 Part 1 Frames

Hinagiku Ep 4 Part 1 Frames

Ahhhhhh Yattaaaaaaa.  Finally, the ep 4 part 1 video is done.  God this took so long, about a year specifically.  Let’s talk about it for a bit.

So before this, all I’ve done was the 1st OP, 1st ED, and the ep 4 preview frames, all of which were pretty short and less than 200 frames.  I was able to do each of those in a day basically.  Then I get to ep 4, and what a jump.  Going from maybe 200 frames, to like 8k frames lmao.  When I was collecting the frames, I realized that the video would be well over an hour long, so I decided to split it into 2 parts, this being part 1 ofc.  Even with splitting it up, part 1 is a crazy 4831 frames and 40 minutes long lmao.

I started collecting the frames in september, and decided to split the video into 2 parts in early december.  I started working on the video in early december, and I was on pace to have it completed by new years.  But when I was about 75% done, all the files on my flash drive got corrupted.  This was pretty annoying, but in hindsight it taught me some good lessons that made the 2nd try much easier.  Instead of having all my files in 1 place, I had it backed up on the cloud.  I also regularly checked to make sure my files were ok and that there was no mistakes.

It took me about 8-9 months to collect all the frames again and work on the video again though because the 1st half of the year happens to be significantly more busy for me than the 2nd half unfortunately, so I was collecting the frames at a really slow pace and didn’t get to work on the video until the summer where I had a bit more time.

These past 2 weeks I’ve been especially productive in working on the video since I’ve been determined to get it out by the end of the summer, and I just barely accomplished that lmao.  Numbering those last couple frames on the video just felt so good.  Finally finishing this after a year just felt so relieving, it felt like crawling into bed under the covers after a hard day’s of work.  So glad that I finally got this finished, and hopefully part 2 doesn’t take nearly as long lmao.

As for the video itself, I did the timing a little differently.  The previous videos I matched the length of each frame to fit the 1 minute and 30 seconds of the song, but in this case, it’s so long, I was able to just make it an easy half second per frame and just took a bunch of songs and make it fit to the length of the frames by doing things like trimming the quietness and/or the fading at the end of the song, and it worked out pretty well.  Also all these songs are so good, hayate really has such a good sound track and character CD songs.

Well anyway, there’s not a whole lot more to say other than it feels so good to have this finally finished.  Part 2 is on the way, so look forward to that in a few months (hopefully not in another year lmao).

Love this edit lmao
